CNC Maintenance Technician (Multi-Site)- Windsor as base location and travel to Cambridge
Salary Range- $85,000 - $105,000 annually
Day shift, full benefits, permanent position
Position Summary
The CNC Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing large-format CNC equipment across our client's operations in Windsor, ON and Cambridge, ON. This role is focused on maximizing equipment uptime, ensuring machining accuracy, and supporting internal production capacity for die set and fabricated steel component manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair CNC equipment including Toshiba, FPT, Awea, and Mazak machines.
- Support machining operations for large steel components including die sets, plates, and parallels across all facilities, as required.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and control systems (Fanuc, Siemens, Mazatrol).
- Execute preventive and predictive maintenance programs to maximize equipment uptime.
- Perform machine alignment, leveling, and calibration.
- Support the installation, commissioning, and relocation of equipment within our client's facilities.
- Work closely with operations and engineering teams to eliminate production bottlenecks and improve machine availability.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement effective corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with all safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) requirements.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of CNC maintenance experience, preferably on large-format CNC machinery.
- Strong mechanical, electrical, and controls troubleshooting skills.
- Experience with Fanuc, Siemens, and Mazatrol control systems.
- Ability to read electrical schematics, hydraulic diagrams, and technical drawings.
- Experience working with servo systems, spindles, PLCs, and machine diagnostics.
- Strong understanding of machining tolerances and precision equipment.
- Ability to travel between Windsor and Cambridge as required.
- Millwright (433A) or Electromechanical certification is considered an asset.
Work Environment
This is a multi-site support role within a heavy manufacturing environment. Travel between our client's facilities is required, and the successful candidate's primary work location will be based on their home location.
