Accurate Shelving has been designing, supplying, and installing purpose-built industrial storage systems for over 21 years. We are seeking an experienced Installation Lead / Foreman to oversee installation crews and deliver safe, professional, high-quality projects throughout Eastern Ontario, Western Quebec, and occasionally across Canada.
This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who takes pride in workmanship, enjoys solving problems, and leads by example.
What You'll Do
- Lead installation crews on industrial and commercial job sites.
- Install and modify pallet racking, shelving, mezzanines, wire mesh systems, lockers, workstations, cabinets, and other storage solutions.
- Read and interpret AutoCAD drawings, site layouts, and installation plans.
- Coordinate daily activities with project managers, customers, and subcontractors.
- Ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
- Conduct jobsite safety meetings and enforce company safety policies.
- Train and mentor junior installers.
- Perform quality inspections and ensure installations meet manufacturer specifications.
- Complete project documentation, daily reports, and deficiency lists.
- Safely operate forklifts, scissor lifts, boom lifts, and power tools.
- Travel to customer sites throughout mainly Ontario and Quebec, with occasional out-of-province assignments.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience installing industrial storage systems or similar steel structures.
- Previous foreman or crew leadership experience.
- Strong understanding of pallet racking, shelving, mezzanines, and warehouse equipment.
- Ability to read construction drawings and installation plans.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Valid driver's licence with a clean driving record.
- Comfortable working at heights.
- Able to lift 50+ lbs and perform physically demanding work.
- Bilingual (English/French) is considered a strong asset.
