POSITION SUMMARYThe Store Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of store operations, ensuring an exceptional customer experience, achieving sales targets, and upholding operational standards. This role leads the entire store team, promotes a culture of accountability, teamwork, and service excellence, and serves as the primary point of contact between store-level operations and Head Office.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee all day-to-day store operations and ensure consistent execution of company standards.
- Recruit, hire, train, coach, and develop team members at all levels.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and health and safety regulations.
- Maintain high standards of visual merchandising and store presentation.
- Manage staffing levels, scheduling, and labour costs in alignment with budget targets.
- Resolve escalated customer concerns with professionalism and urgency.
- Monitor inventory levels, minimize shrinkage, and maintain accurate records.
- Communicate store priorities, targets, and updates to the team on a consistent basis.
- Partner with Head Office to implement new programs, promotions, and operational directives.
DAILY DUTIES
- Conduct opening and closing procedures in accordance with company protocols.
- Lead daily team meetings, communicate priorities, and assign responsibilities.
- Review sales reports, labour metrics, and operational KPIs.
- Walk the sales floor to monitor presentation standards and identify operational opportunities.
- Take an active role in planning, organizing, and executing merchandising initiatives, including product placement, promotional displays, and seasonal setups.
- Monitor team performance and provide real-time feedback and coaching.
- Collaborate with the Warehouse Team Lead regarding inventory needs and replenishment priorities.
- Address customer service concerns and escalate where required.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum 3–5 years of retail management experience, preferably in a high-volume environment.
- Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop a diverse team.
- Strong understanding of retail operations, inventory management, and merchandising principles.
- Experience with scheduling, labour management, and budget oversight.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Proficient in point-of-sale and inventory management systems.
- Availability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

WORKING CONDITIONS
