Overview
We are seeking a Heavy Equipment journeyman or experienced apprentice to be part of our growing team as we establish our local services. The ideal candidate will have a strong ability to work by themselves in a shop or in a remote location for extended periods of time. The ideal candidate with have a strong mechanical background and be skilled in troubleshooting and repairing various types of equipment including forestry, constructions equipment, on road and off road trucks and auxiliary equipment. Wage dependent on experience.
Duties
- Assemble, install, and repair equipment according to schematics and technical specifications
- Conduct routine maintenance on various types of equipment on and off road
- Operate heavy equipment for testing, moving and lifting machinery
- Diagnose and repair issues with industrial equipment
- Provide excellent customer service while addressing equipment concerns
- Ensure high standards of workmanship and efficiency in repairing, maintaining, and diagnosing equipment within scope of training.
- Red Seal Journeyman or registered apprentice status
- Experience with offroad, forestry, and construction equipment preferred.
- Occasional field service locally and other regions
- Willing to be on a on-call rotation
Qualifications
- Experience in operating and maintaining industrial equipment preferred
- Clean drivers abstract
- Tools required to perform routine daily duties ( Up to 2.5" required - 1" drive are company supplied)
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting schematics
- Positive attitude with a willingness to learn
- Ability to lift heavy objects, walk, and stand for long periods of time
- Ability to work in the elements
- Ability to work individually as well as part of a team.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30.00-$50.00 per hour
