Position Summary
We are looking to expand our team of experienced Heavy Equipment Operators to support our growing business located in the West Shore of Victoria, BC. If you are an experienced Heavy Equipment Operator with experience in operating all sizes of excavators, backhoes, Dozers, Articulating Rock Trucks, skid steers, loaders, etc., we would like to hear from you. We are looking for experienced Heavy Equipment Operators with a great attitude and have a strong work ethic
Duties include:
Operating various pieces of heavy equipment
Regular duties include trenching, site service preparation, rock moving, gravel grading
Ability to read plans, follow instructions, and communicate effectively
Performing daily equipment inspections, maintenance and daily paperwork for equipment
Refueling of machines
Working with crews to ensure work is completed as per design plans
Adhering to all safety procedures and company policies
Requirements
2 – 3 years of experience
Experience in civil infrastructure projects
Experience in bulk excavations, mainline trenching, backfilling, compaction, rock breaking and blasting
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to take initiative and independently carry out tasks
Minimum of class 5 license

Pay: $32 - $40 per hour depending upon experience
Expected hours: 40 hours/week plus occasional overtime
Monday - Friday
