Aurora Cannabis Inc. is currently recruiting for a Packaging Team Lead to join our Sky team. Reporting directly to the Manufacturing Supervisor the individual will be responsible for overseeing the packaging team and their team members.

Oversee Packaging Shift Leads and their direct reports

Follow and implement instructions from the Manufacturing Coordinator

Handle performance management and goal setting for/with team members

Delegate tasks and handle issues as they arise with respect to workflows as well as people management

Provide mentorship to team members and assist with workloads when necessary

Ability to manage a diverse and growing team of individuals

Ensure all processes are followed according to prescribed SOPs to GMP standards while also identifying opportunities to improve efficiencies

Ensure all required documentation is completed by all responsible parties using good documentation practices

Follow strict cleaning practices and procedures

Continuous monitoring temperature and humidity in the processing room

Properly maintain batch records and log books

Coordinate and communicate with staff managing the electronic inventory software

Coordinate with Quality Assurance, Quality Control, and/or Production Departments as required

Great attention to detail is necessary during daily inspections for disease and microbial (disease and pest identification)

Move pre- and post-processed goods between departments in a sanitary fashion

Prepare large shipments of finished product for transport to various locations off site

Knowledge of packaging goods is valued

Commitment to health and safety

Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Project, and Outlook)

5+ years in a supervisory position within a manufacturing environment

High school or equivalent

Past experience in general labour, manufacturing or warehouse an asset

Must have experience managing/supervising staff

Ability to prioritize and manage conflicting demands

Excellent interpersonal communication skills, both verbal and written

Strong leadership skills, extensive experience managing teams

Creative problem-solving skills

Reliable, passionate, and organized

Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines

Must be on time and remain on site for entire shift

Ability to meet deadlines and ensure department goals are achieved

Accurately follow instructions, complete forms and paperwork as required

Knowledge or basic understanding of GMP standards is considered an asset

Ability to work evenings and weekends as required to support operational requirements
