About the Opportunity
We are currently seeking enthusiastic and reliable Registered Early Childhood Educators (RECEs) to join our Supply Staff Roster. This is an excellent opportunity for educators who enjoy flexibility and would like to work in a variety of licensed childcare environments while supporting children, families, and classroom teams.
Supply staff may be assigned to different age groups and locations based on operational needs. Candidates who hold a valid Food Handler Certificate are particularly encouraged to apply, as opportunities may also arise to support food service operations when required.
Mandatory Qualifications
- Diploma in Early Childhood Education (ECE)
- Registered and in good standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators
- Current Standard First Aid & CPR Level C
- Vulnerable Sector Check
- Up-to-date immunizations as required by ministry guidelines
- Strong English communication skills (spoken and written)
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience working in licensed childcare settings
- Food Handler Certificate (asset)
- Experience working with various age groups, including infants, toddlers and preschoolers.
- Flexibility to travel to different centre locations
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
Key Responsibilities
- Support classroom educators in providing high-quality care and education
- Maintain a safe, clean, and engaging learning environment
- Follow all licensing, health, and safety regulations
- Supervise children and support daily routines
- Complete observations and documentation as required
- Foster positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues
- Assist with meal service and food-related duties when applicable
