The Scarborough Health Network is reimagining traditional hospital Decision Support. Enterprise Analytics is an innovative and strategic asset to one of Ontario's largest community hospitals. We act as trusted advisors to healthcare leaders and focus on providing them the analytical tools and deep insights that help them make important decisions. Responsibilities:
Here’s what you’ll get to do

  • Advanced BI tool skills, with demonstrated experience in rapidly building, scaling and deploying interactive reports.
  • Analytical technical skills, including complex data linking, dealing with data imperfections, and the ability to create visual summaries.
  • Excellent knowledge of MS SQL Server, SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), SharePoint, Excel and the integration between these applications.
  • Experience in automating and streamlining via coding and scripting using SSIS and SQL
  • Experience in standardizing data and reporting tools such as SQL Server and SSRS
  • Experience in developing and implementing BI Solutions required, with special consideration to experience with Power BI.
  • Demonstrable skills in DAX, M, ETL (Power Query), SQL performance optimization
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • A proven self-starter, who has no limits in their ability to learn new tools.
  • Pride in doing great work, a mindset of taking things to the finish line, and attention to detail.

Asset:
These "nice to have" skills will help you succeed on day one

  • Visualization skills, with the ability to make beautiful and compelling presentations of complex information
  • Experience in reporting and analytical tools such as R and advanced Excel functionality (scripting, power pivot tables, formulas)
  • Familiarity with privacy protection procedures, secure data transmission and storage methods.
  • Knowledge of Geographical Information Systems (GIS) tools.
  • Experience with processing and manipulating large datasets through SQL Server Management Studio (ranking, sorting, percentiles) and Excel (pivot tables, filters, formulas, macros etc.)
  • Previous healthcare experience including knowledge of CIHI datasets such as DAD, NACRS, CCRS, NRS, OMHRS, HCRS).
  • Knowledge CIHI/MoHLTC methodologies (HSFR, HSMR, RIW, HIG, MIS Guidelines).
  • Knowledge of Access to Care/Cancer Care Ontario datasets and Business Intelligence tools (WTIS, ALC, ER, SetP, iPort).
