Responsibilities and Duties:
- Manage projects to ensure that all owner and client objectives are met up to quality, schedule, budget, and safety
- Coordinate with Project team, Site Superintendent(s), clients, architects, trades, and all other stakeholders to ensure project objectives are meet
- Handle contracts and revise any additional changes in contractual agreements with architects, consultants, suppliers, and subcontractors
- Direct the purchase of building materials for the appropriate projects
- Perform project estimating, equipment specification, pricing and procurement
- Monitor and review project schedule and costs to forecast any potential risks
- Manage documents including submittals, permits, and change orders
- Represent Owner at construction project meetings
- Coordinate all utility shutdowns, building penetrations and security impacts
- Report to Client regularly about the project and ensure construction activities are aligned with customer requirements
- Arrange for City inspections, occupancy permit, and any other relevant building requirements
- Maintain records of all project-related communications
Qualifications and Skills:
- Post-secondary, technical education (BCIT) or similar in construction, project management, or a related industry
- Over 3 years experience in the commercial and industrial construction industry
- Familiar with BC Building Code is preferred
- Knowledge of construction methodology, process, and sequence is an asset
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to multi-task and manage time efficiently
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Project)
- Ability to work proactively both independently and in a team environment
- Must have a valid BC Driver's License
