T & A Rock Works Inc. has been established since 1979 and is based out of Kelowna, BC. T & A specializes in rock drilling, controlled blasting, rockfall mitigation, shotcrete & shoring as well as non-explosive rock removal.
The company is seeking an experienced Nozzleman. The Nozzleman will report directly to the Shoring Supervisor.
Duties Include:
- Overseeing and leading a crew of 4-6 shoring workers
- Working with and reporting to engineers, project managers, and supervisors
- Organizing materials and managing mobilization
- Meshing panels and spraying shotcrete in accordance with the engineered design
- Operate or swamp for the drills during soil anchor installation
- Operating a grout plant and line pump
Basic Qualifications:
- 5+ years of shotcrete & shoring experience (nozzling & drilling)
- Nozzleman certification (ACI, Wet-Mix)
- CCPO Certification
- Strong understanding of soil and rock anchor installation
- Valid Class 5 Drivers License with clean driving record
- Be able to work well independently or as a team, with or without supervision
- Ability to work in a safe manner and overseeing safety of other workers
- Reliable and a strong work ethic
- Physically fit and able to work long hours
- Ability to get along with a diverse group of people
- Ability to work out of town if requested
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Fixed term contract
Pay: $42.00-$50.00 per hour
