Store Supervisor – Blenderz Garment Recyclers (Edmonton, AB)
Blenderz is a textile recycler, thrift store and upcycle school, focused on keeping textiles in use and out of landfills. We are looking for a Store Supervisor to lead daily operations in our retail and donation space and help deliver an excellent, mission‑aligned experience for customers and donors.
About the Role
The Store Supervisor is a working lead on the floor who:
- Oversees daily store operations,
- Supports and guides staff and volunteers during shifts
- Ensures a clean, safe, well‑organized store and processing area
- Delivers friendly, informed customer service that reflects Blenderz’ values
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise staff and volunteers, assign daily tasks, and ensure key areas are covered
- Operate the POS system, handle cash accurately, and ensure end‑of‑day cash procedures
- Coordinate movement of textiles in Blenderz facility
- Monitor inventory levels and prepare weekly reports
- Maintain store presentation and merchandising, including creating engaging displays
- Handle customer questions and concerns
- Support health and safety practices, including tidy workspaces and safe lifting of textile bags/boxes
Qualifications
- Prior retail or thrift experience; supervisory or lead experience is an asset
- Strong customer service skills and comfort working with a diverse community
- Confident with POS systems and basic cash handling
- Organized, dependable, and comfortable with physical work (standing, lifting, moving stock)
- Genuine interest in textile waste reduction, upcycling, and community‑focused retail
Work Conditions
- In‑person position at our Edmonton location
- Mix of weekdays, some evenings, weekends, and occasional special events
