Job Overview
We are seeking a dependable and experienced Long Haul Drivers in a team to join our transportation ASAP. This role involves dedicated yard to yard work from Winnipeg to Toronto or Montreal .The ideal candidate will possess strong driving skills, knowledge of freight handling, and the ability to operate heavy equipment.This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with a focus on safety, reliability, and professionalism.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks over long-distance routes, adhering to all traffic laws.
- Transport freight efficiently from origin to destination while maintaining delivery schedules
- Perform routine inspections of vehicles before and after trips, including checking brakes, tires, lights, and fluid levels
- Follow company policies on safety procedures, cargo securement, and compliance standards
Requirements
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL)
- Knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety protocols for long-distance transportation
- The candidate should have open work permit or permanent residency card
- Prior experience of 1 year in freight transportation or long-haul trucking is highly desirable
