We are seeking an individual who enjoys working in the construction industry with experience in cabinetry assembling, paint booth sanding and spraying and some knowledge working with corian.

The work you will do:
We are seeking an individual who has an interest in learning about the business from the ground up. This individual would be someone who can work in the corian department and the sanding/paint booth so FIT TESTING WILL BE REQUIRED (which means clean shaving, to be respirator certified).

- Knowledge of solid surface fabrication for countertops and architectural features would be an asset as you will be sanding and polishing corian daily.
- Review architectural drawings, shop drawings, plans, and specifications.
- Select appropriate materials, including wood, hardware and tops.
- Assembly of cabinetry
- Measure, cut, shape, and prepare materials using hand tools, power tools, and machinery is an asset.
- Ensure all pieces meet design specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements.
- Assist with loading/unloading trucks and handle construction materials with forklift (when needed).
- Clean and lubricate machinery and equipment and perform basic regular maintenance on a daily basis (if working with any of the machinery) .
- Follow all safety procedures and promote a safe work environment.
- Experience and certifications required:
- Strong knowledge of woodworking techniques, tools, and materials is an asset.
- Ability to read and interpret Shop drawings, blueprints, sketches, and design specifications.
- Knowledge with woodworking machinery required.
- Physical ability to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods.
- Ability to work independently or in a teamwork environment required.
- Must have valid driver’s license and reliable transportation, as public transportation is not available.
- Must be willing and able to successfully achieve WHMIS, and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) training certificates.
- Tools & Equipment you may use:
- Computerized woodworking and computer numerical control (CNC) machines
- Edge bander, drill and dowel inserting machine, case clamp
- Drills, routers, sanders, saws, hand tools
- Sliding table saw
- Air compressors, nail guns, air guns
- Forklift (if certified)Where you will work & the work conditions:
- Shop environment with possible outside work

- Regularly lifting/carrying up to 50lbs and occasionally up to 100lbs with assistance
- 40-44 hours per week. Present dayshifts are Monday to Thursday 7:30am to 5:00pm, Fridays 7:30am to 12:00pm with possibility of overtime during high peaks of production.*** NOT LOOKING TO SPONSOR so PR IS REQUIRED***
