Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Denture Technician to join our full-service dental laboratory team at Astro Dental Art in Calgary.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for the fabrication, setup, finishing, and repair of complete and partial dentures. This role requires strong knowledge of removable prosthetics, occlusion, and dental materials to ensure functional, comfortable, and esthetic outcomes for patients.
Duties4
- Set up denture teeth for complete and partial dentures according to prescription and occlusion
- Perform wax try-in setups and adjustments as needed
- Process dentures including flasking, packing, curing, and deflasking
- Finish, contour, and polish dentures to high-quality standards
- Perform denture repairs, relines, and adjustments
- Verify occlusion, articulation, and fit on models and articulators
- Interpret prescriptions and communicate with clinicians or supervisors when needed
- Maintain consistent production quality and turnaround times
- Follow laboratory protocols, safety procedures, and quality standards
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Experience
- Minimum 2+ years dental laboratory experience in removable prosthetics preferred
- Experience in denture setup, processing, finishing, and repairs
- Strong understanding of denture occlusion and tooth arrangement principles
- Familiarity with denture materials and laboratory procedures
- Good manual dexterity and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience in digital dentures is an asset (preferred but not required)
