Duties
- Learn to perform routine maintenance tasks on vehicles and equipment, including oil changes, filter replacements, and inspections
- Use hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to support repair projects
- Read and interpret schematics and technical manuals to understand machinery systems
- Support the assembly and disassembly of mechanical components for troubleshooting purposes
- Operate heavy equipment like forklifts and farm machinery under supervision for testing and positioning
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and parts used during repairs
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or coursework in mechanics is a plus
- automotive repair experience is preferred but not required
- Basic mechanical knowledge with familiarity in using hand tools and power tools
- Willingness to learn electrical systems, schematics
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work in physically demanding environments
- Strong attention to detail with good problem-solving skills
