Qualifications & Requirements
· Knowledge of generally accepted accounting procedures
· Knowledge of various related business application software
· Strong understanding of feminist and trauma informed philosophy and practice
· Strong verbal and written communication skills
· Minimum: 2 to 3 year post secondary diploma, such as Business Administration.
· Minimum: 3 to 5 years of related experience.

Duties & Responsibilities
· Calculate, prepare and issue documents related to accounts such as bills, invoices, inventory reports, account statements and other financial statements for a women’s shelter and board of directors
· Compile budget data and documents based on estimated revenues and expenses and previous budgets, including monthly, quarterly and year end reports, projections & submissions
· Process payroll biweekly
· Annual payroll duties (T4s, etc) and employee Records of Employment as required
· Prepares remittances for deductions to various agencies (i.e.Union etc)
· Processes deductions
· Bank deposits, mail, issuing receipts
· Responds to vendor inquiries via telephone or email on the payment status of invoices
· Replenishing petty cash and personal allowance
· Maintaining filing and record systems, faxing and photocopying financial documents
· Working with the Executive Director, Board Treasurer and Auditor to ensure fiscal responsibilities are met and the shelter remains in good financial standing
· Experience with SAGE accounting and PayWorks payroll system an asset
· Other related duties
Pay: $24.26-$26.71 per hour
