L & M Precision Products Inc. is recruiting for an experienced Davenport Multi-Spindle Screw Machine set up person.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for setting up and operating Davenport Screw Machine
- Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of a Davenport Machine to produce high quality parts
- Responsible for following shop orders, drawings, layout, tooling, materials and machining parameters
- Responsible for pre-operation safety inspection
- Inspect in-process parts as well as finished product to assess the quality of parts produced.
- Contribute to efforts to continuously improve safety, environment responsibility and quality
- Responsible for machine repairs and tool grinding as required.
- Supervises and assists machine operators in production process (i.e., quality and production quotas)
Qualification:
- Minimum 5 years of Davenport experience
- Completion of high school diploma or equivalent work experience
- Good communication skills. Fluent English
- Capable of reading calipers and/or vernier/micrometers
- Ability to prioritize and multi task in a fast-paced environment
- Team player and able to work well with others
- Must have ability to lift 35 lbs
- Must work with other departments as required
