Math Tutor (Part-Time)
Location: Toronto, Ontario
Pay: Performance-based, per student enrolled
Schedule: Weekday evenings and/or weekends
About the Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic and reliable Math Tutor to teach small group classes. The successful candidate will be comfortable managing a classroom environment, explaining mathematical concepts clearly, and helping students build confidence and academic success.
A structured curriculum, lesson materials, and teaching resources will be provided, allowing tutors to focus on instruction and student engagement.
Responsibilities
- Teach mathematics to small groups of students
- Deliver lessons using provided curriculum and teaching materials
- Maintain a positive and productive learning environment
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback
- Answer student questions and support individual learning needs
- Communicate professionally with parents and administration when required
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of teaching or tutoring experience
- Strong understanding of elementary, middle school, or high school mathematics
- Comfortable teaching and managing group classes
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliable, organized, and punctual
- Ability to explain concepts in a clear and engaging manner
Compensation
- Per-head-count pay structure
- Earnings increase based on the number of students enrolled in each class

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience preparing students for standardized tests
- Degree or current studies in Mathematics, Education, Engineering, Science, or a related field
- Previous experience teaching in a classroom setting
Pay: $20.00-$40.00 per hour
