Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Cabinet Finisher to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for applying finishes to cabinetry components, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship and a polished appearance. This role requires mechanical knowledge, proficiency with hand and power tools, and familiarity with manufacturing processes. The Cabinet Finisher plays a vital part in delivering exceptional products to our customers by maintaining strict quality standards throughout the finishing process.
Responsibilities
- Apply stains, paints, lacquers, or other finishes to cabinet components using brushes, spray equipment, or other tools
- Inspect finished products for quality, consistency, and adherence to specifications
- Operate machinery such as cranes and forklifts safely to move large or heavy cabinetry parts
- Use hand tools and power tools for sanding, smoothing, and detailing surfaces
- Follow safety protocols related to welding and machining processes during finishing operations
- Maintain clean work areas and ensure proper storage of finishing materials
- Collaborate with assembly and manufacturing teams to meet production deadlines
- Document finishing procedures and quality checks as required
Requirements
- Mechanical knowledge related to manufacturing equipment and processes
- Experience with hand tools, power tools, welding, machining, and assembly techniques
- Ability to operate cranes and forklifts safely (certification preferred)
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations during finishing tasks
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles to optimize workflow efficiency
- Knowledge of surface preparation, sanding, staining, painting, and sealing techniques
- Prior experience in manufacturing or woodworking industries is a plus
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality control
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Pay: $20.00-$34.00 per hour
