Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our dynamic culinary team. This role involves preparing ingredients, cooking dishes to specifications, and ensuring food safety standards are maintained. The Line Cook will work closely with kitchen staff to produce high-quality meals efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and presentation standards
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as chopping, slicing, and measuring ingredients
- Ensure all food is handled safely and stored properly in accordance with food safety regulations
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen station throughout shifts
- Serve dishes promptly and accurately to ensure customer satisfaction
- Follow proper food handling procedures to prevent cross-contamination and ensure hygiene
- Collaborate with team members to meet service times during busy hours
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate supply needs to management
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or kitchen environment preferred
- Knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety standards
- Strong understanding of serving and meal presentation skills
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting
- Excellent communication skills and teamwork orientation
- Food industry experience is a plus but not required; willingness to learn is essential
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety in the kitchen
