Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Automotive Technician to join our service team. The ideal candidate will perform a wide range of vehicle repairs and maintenance, ensuring customer satisfaction through quality workmanship. This role requires a strong mechanical background with experience working with various vehicle makes and models. The Automotive Technician will utilize diagnostic tools, hand tools, and power tools to troubleshoot and repair vehicles efficiently and accurately.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair a variety of automotive issues including powertrain, transmissions, electrical systems, and engines
- Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, brake repairs, and alignments
- Utilize schematics and diagnostic software to identify mechanical and electrical problems
- Repair or replace faulty components using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and specialized automotive repair tools
- Conduct vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance with manufacturer standards
- Maintain detailed service records for each vehicle serviced
- Keep work area clean and organized to ensure safety and efficiency
Skills
- Proven dealership experience or service technician experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of automotive electrical systems, powertrain components, transmissions, and engine repair
- Ability to read schematics and interpret technical manuals accurately
- Proficiency with automotive diagnostics tools
- Mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and specialized automotive maintenance tools
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail in diagnosing complex vehicle issues
