Job Overview
We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Dispatcher to coordinate transportation and logistics operations within our supply chain network. The ideal candidate will manage freight movements, communicate effectively with drivers and clients, and utilize various transportation management systems to ensure timely deliveries. This role is essential in maintaining efficient shipping and receiving processes, supporting our commitment to excellent service and operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily dispatch activities for freight shipments, ensuring timely pickups and deliveries.
- Utilize transportation management systems such as SyteLine, AS400, and other TMS platforms to schedule and track shipments.
- Manage shipping & receiving documentation accurately through data entry and analysis skills.
- Communicate with drivers, clients, and internal teams via multi-line phone systems, demonstrating professional phone etiquette and strong communication skills.
- Monitor supply chain operations, identify potential delays or issues, and implement solutions proactively.
- Oversee freight movement within the warehouse or distribution center, including shipping & receiving tasks.
- Maintain detailed records of dispatch activities, shipment statuses, and related data for reporting purposes.
- Collaborate with 3PL providers to optimize logistics processes and improve overall efficiency.
Skills
- Proficiency in transportation management systems such as SyteLine, AS400, and other TMS platforms.
- Strong understanding of supply chain processes, freight management, and shipping & receiving procedures.
- Experience working with 3PL providers and managing freight operations.
- Excellent data entry skills with high accuracy; familiarity with typing and multi-line phone systems.
- Analytical skills to interpret logistics data and identify process improvements.
- Exceptional communication skills, including phone etiquette and clear verbal/written correspondence.

Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
