THE OPPORTUNITY – MARKETING AND COMMUNICATIONS MANAGER
The Marketing and Communications is responsible for leading and executing organization-wide marketing, communications, and public relations initiatives in alignment with Vecova’s strategic priorities and under the direction of the Chief Financial Officer (CFO). This role plays a key leadership function in developing and implementing integrated marketing and communication strategies that enhance Vecova’s reputation, strengthen stakeholder engagement, and advance organizational objectives.
This is a full-time, permanent position.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Develop and implement an annual marketing communications and public relations plan to advance Vecova’s brand and profile, identifying goals, and measurable deliverables to meet the communications activities on a yearly basis.
- Generate effective campaigns and tactics to support business strategies and overall organizational awareness.
- Analyze performance metrics, providing strategic recommendations and identifying opportunities to maximize effectiveness, reach, and impact
- Coordinate production of Vecova external and internal branded communication and promotion materials
- Oversee and coordinate the creation and publication of earned/paid advertisements through appropriate media outlets.
- Implement best practice communication systems and processes that best serve Vecova.
- Enhance online presence through content marketing, videos, and social engagement.
- Development of and/or assistance with special events and fundraising activities including creating printed materials and all related communications requirements
- Draft press releases and/or key messages to assist with media requirements.
- Supervision and coaching of the team members.
- Manage communications operating budget.
- Conduct routine audits of Vecova’s marketing and communications materials and activities.
WHAT YOU BRING
We are looking to engage team members with diverse skills, experiences and interests. These are some of the competencies and credentials we are looking for:
- Bachelor’s degree preferably in communications or public relations.
- Minimum of three (3) years’ experience managing successful communications initiatives, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proficient knowledge of computers, the Internet, Social Media and applicable software programs.
- Strong ability to lead projects independently and manage multiple deadlines.
- Member of International Association of Business Communicators or Canadian Public Relations Society is an asset.
- Experience with the non-profit sector is an asset.
- Demonstrate a high standard of professionalism aligned with Vecova values.
- Maintain a positive working relationship with all Vecova team members.
- Represent Vecova in a professional manner.
- Demonstrate a high level of initiative and enthusiasm.
- Maintain confidentiality at all times.
- Demonstrate a high level of administrative and IT capacity.
