Financial Planner

What will your role be responsible for?
- Prepare both simple projections and comprehensive financial plans.
- Include tax recommendations such as CPP/OAS payments, RIF conversions, tax rates, and corporate details.
- Liaise with our complementary departments (tax, insurance, trust) and note any estate-related recommendations.
- Present and update financial plans and progress reports in a client-facing role.
- Assist with cash flow projection and tax analysis.
- Support insurance, financial, and estate planning (experience in these areas is a plus, but not required).
- Develop and implement comprehensive financial plans for clients, ensuring alignment with their financial goals and values.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and provide ongoing support and education.
- Maintain a high level of attention to detail and ensure compliance with regulatory standards and best practices.
- Stay abreast of industry developments, trends, and regulations to provide informed advice.

What do we expect from you?
- Knowledge in Financial Planning and key concepts.
- 2+ years of experience in Financial Planning.
- Experience with Naviplan and/or Conquest software is an asset.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office with a willingness to learn new applications.
- Strong client service, time management, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills.
- Problem-solving abilities and sound judgment.
- Ability to meet deadlines in a high-volume, demanding environment while maintaining high service levels and attention to detail.
- Advanced face-to-face, email, videoconferencing, and telephone etiquette and relationship management skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Flexibility and willingness to assist others as required.
- Tact and discretion in handling confidential information.
Educational/Previous Experience Requirements:
- Practical experience in higher-level planning, including the integration of closely held corporations, trust, and/or cross-border experience.
- An accounting designation or relevant experience/education is an asset.
- A Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor (CRPC) designation is an asset
Licenses/Certifications:
- Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) designation or near completion of the CFP® designation is required.
- Successful completion of the Canadian Securities Course (CSC).
Travel:
- Occasional travel may be required.

Salary Range: BC (based on Education, Work Experience, etc) $75,000-90,000 in addition to competitive performance bonuses/incentives.
