We are currently seeking a motivated and mechanically inclined individual to join our team as an Overhead Door Technician. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in construction, carpentry, mechanical trades, or general installation work who is interested in developing specialized technical skills in the overhead door industry.
You will work alongside experienced technicians to learn the installation, maintenance, and repair of residential and commercial overhead doors and operators. This position offers hands-on training, company provided tools, and the opportunity to build a long-term career n a growing industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the installation, service, and repair of residential and commercial overhead door systems.
- Work outdoors at customer sites in various weather conditions.
- Load and unload materials, organize tools, and maintain a clean and safe work area.
- Operate hand and power tools, safely and efficiently.
- Work with senior technicians to measure, assemble, and install door sections, track, springs, and related hardware.
- Drive company vehicles to jobs sites and interact professionally with customers.
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
- Work in the warehouse when not assigned to field installation or service work, supporting inventory handling and order preparation.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in construction, carpentry, mechanical trades, or installation work is an asset.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand and power tools.
- Comfortable working at heights, working outdoors, and lifting heavy materials.
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Physically capable of lifting and carrying materials and equipment up to 75 lbs.
- Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and ability to work in a team environment.
- Willingness to learn and take direction from experienced technicians.
