Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Drywall Taper to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for applying joint compound, taping drywall seams, and preparing surfaces for finishing. This role requires attention to detail, craftsmanship, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced construction environment.
Prior experience in drywall finishing and related trades is extremely mandatory.
Duties
- Apply joint compound and tape to drywall seams, corners, and joints with precision and consistency
- Sand and smooth finished surfaces to ensure a seamless appearance
- Prepare drywall surfaces by taping, patching, and priming as needed
- Collaborate with carpenters, painters, and other trades to coordinate project tasks
- Maintain a clean work area, ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times
- Proven experience in drywall taping, finishing, or related construction work
- Knowledge of painting, carpentry, caulking, and blueprint reading
- Strong understanding of construction safety standards and procedures
- Ability to operate hand tools and power tools used in drywall finishing
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on quality craftsmanship
- Good physical stamina for standing, bending, and lifting during long work hours
