Primary Purpose:
· Leads the operations activities for the existing and new Nominee Accounts
· Trains and on-boards new associates and maintain training materials
· Transitions and provides on-going operations support to new Advisors at EQ
· Provide back-up support to the Operations and Finance team as needed.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Account Management.
o Ensure all applications received are in good order and all disclosures are documented
o Collects and processes all Trustee and Advisory fees
o Ensure all accounts meet regulatory requirements
o Ensures all banking transactions are balanced, reconciled and processed
o Maintain Custody Agreements, obtaining and amending agreements as needed
o Maintain Trustee Relationships and reporting
o Secures annual compliance certificates and attestations with the appropriate regulatory bodies
o Ensures timely and accurate Tax reporting, including filings, receipt issuance, withholding tax calculations and remittance and provides communication with CRA on these matters
o Leads the year End Processing activities providing systemic instructions, verification of paperwork and standard requirements
o Processes transactions for all financial vehicles including Mutual Funds, Cash Accounts, GIC, ETF etc.
o Supports branches on nominee related inquiries
o Maintains good relationships with Fund Companies and other Partners
o Provide Monthly Reporting as required
o Provide backup resources to the Finance team as needed.
o Leads and provides oversight on all Operational Processes for the PEI Branch as business needs require
· Training and Onboarding
o Maintain and update training materials
o Ensure smooth transitioning and onboarding of new branches through one-on-one support in the initial months and partnership with the regulators
Job Specifications:
· Education: University or College degree, ideally in business or 4+ years of Operations leadership experience
· Experience: 4 or more years of operations or finance experience ideally in the financial services industry with a strong understanding of nominee accounts
· Technical/ Job Skills: Business or Operations skills

· Leads 1 direct report in a remote setting-as business needs require
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00-$85,000.00 per year
