Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items with precision, consistency, and attention to detail, ensuring all dishes meet quality standards.
- Handle food safely by following proper food handling procedures, sanitation protocols, and health regulations.
- Assist in meal preparation by chopping, marinating, portioning ingredients, and assembling dishes efficiently.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including equipment and workstations.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations and timely service during busy hours.
- Follow recipes accurately while also demonstrating creativity in presentation when appropriate.
- Support the training of junior staff members and uphold the restaurant’s standards for food service excellence.
Qualifications
- Minimum of five years of proven experience as a line cook or in a similar food preparation role within a restaurant or food service environment.
- Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, food safety practices, and proper food handling procedures.
- Experience with serving guests directly or supporting front-of-house staff when needed.
- Demonstrated ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Excellent understanding of kitchen equipment operation and maintenance.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and adapt quickly to changing priorities.
