Position Summary:
Reporting to the Director, Finance the IT Specialist will provide first line of support to the team in a variety of requests, from computer workstation maintenance, equipment inventory management, set-up, and triage to upgrades. Assist with the new team members onboarding and offboarding processes, as well as, systems support with the CRM, finance, grant allocation, software upgrade/patch monitoring, cybersecurity protection systems, etc.
Job Duties:
- Maintain IT infrastructure of JFGV by working collaboratively with external service providers to sustain current structure and implement new initiatives.
- Work with the Director of Finance and IT to develop IT policies that ensure safety and security of information systems especially around Cybersecurity and system maintenance.
- Training of staff to ensure adherence and compliance with Information system procedures and policies.
- Maintain in-house server hosting information processing systems, security systems and all other systems that are server reliant.
- Maintain a responsive help desk system through ticketing, phone call support, in person support, remote access support and site visits to connected agencies as needed.
- Troubleshoot and resolve incidents and problems related to users and network connectivity.
- On board and off-board staff regarding equipment and system access, training and compliance with information system and data safety guidelines.
- Maintain the inventory of all (onboarding/offboarding).
- Configure, test, and install PC hardware, software, operating systems and peripherals.
- Resource for end users for the Microsoft Office 365 Suite, CRM, Zoom, and all system software.
- Minimum Computer Information Technology (CIT) Diploma or equivalent in Computer and Information Technology, Network Administration, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in a technical support role.
- Certifications are preferred, but not required.
- Strong knowledge and expertise with a variety of software, hardware, and applications in a Microsoft environment.
- Knowledge of IP network concepts, administration, and security
- Broad knowledge of Windows operating systems and Microsoft 365.
- Ability to solve complicated problems and see projects through to completion.
- Analytical skills to study problems and identify solutions.
- Team-oriented attitude to help other colleagues and departments with technical problems.
- Strong interpersonal communication and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to manage time and effectively prioritize numerous projects at one time.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs, bend, stretch, stand for extended periods, etc. to lift and maneuver computer equipment and perform installations.
