Job Summary:
We currently have an open position for a Production Operator – Dispersion & Milling to join our team on the day shift (7:00 am – 4:00 pm). This role is responsible for supporting batch manufacturing and milling operations in a hands-on environment. This role is responsible for accurately building batches, handling materials, and maintaining production flow.
Key Responsibilities:
- Weigh and stage raw materials according to batch sheets
- Verify materials before use
- Charge ingredients into tanks in correct sequence, including, liquids and powders, support proper mixing and dispersion during batch build
- Ensure accurate weights, correct materials and no cross-contamination
- Assist with pre-mix operations, feeding mills and managing flow
- Monitor pressures and temperatures
- Maintain steady and controlled material flow through the system
- Execute cleaning procedures, such as line flushing, tank and equipment cleaning
- Maintain clean and organized work areas
- Follow batch instructions exactly
- Record production and batch data
- Report abnormalities immediately
- Follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements
- Identify and report hazards or spills
- Work safely with chemicals and equipment
- Support extended hours during peak production periods
- Assist in ensuring batches are stable before shift transitions
Required Knowledge and Skills:
- 1–3 years in manufacturing or industrial environment
- Mechanically inclined and detail-oriented
- Able to handle physical work and materials
- Experience in chemical, coatings, or industrial production preferred
- Familiarity with pumps, valves, and batch systems preferred
Working Conditions:
- Manual dexterity to work with associated equipment
- Overtime as required
- Able to identify any health and safety issues
- Must be flexible in working other shifts as per business needs
