Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and organized Grocery Store Clerk to join our team. This role is vital in ensuring a positive shopping experience for customers by maintaining store cleanliness, assisting with merchandise, and providing excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, possess strong communication skills, and be capable of multitasking in a retail environment.
Duties
- Greet customers and assist with their shopping needs
- Operate cash registers and handle cashiering responsibilities efficiently and accurately
- Restock shelves and organize merchandise according to store merchandising standards
- Maintain cleanliness of the store, including aisles, checkout areas, and restocking zones
- Assist with inventory management and perform stock rotation as needed
- Provide exceptional customer service by answering questions and resolving issues promptly
- Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs to ensure store safety and cleanliness
- Support merchandising efforts by arranging displays and signage to promote products effectively
Skills
- Proven experience in retail sales or customer service roles
- Strong communication skills for engaging with customers and team members
- Excellent organizational skills to manage stock levels and store presentation
- Attention to detail for accurate cashiering and inventory management
- Ability to perform cleaning duties efficiently to maintain a safe shopping environment
- Good physical stamina for standing, lifting, and moving merchandise throughout shifts
- Effective teamwork skills combined with independent work ethic for multitasking in busy periods
Pay: $17.60 per hour
