Westgate Pacific Construction Ltd. is a construction management company delivering residential, mixed-use, and commercial projects in the Lower Mainland. We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Construction Site General Labourer to support our site team on active construction projects.
Position Summary
The Construction Site General Labourer will assist the Site Superintendent, Assistant Superintendent, and project team with daily site operations, general site cleanup, material handling, basic construction tasks, safety support, and overall site organization. The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-conscious, physically capable, and willing to work as part of a team in a fast-paced construction environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain general site cleanliness, organization, and housekeeping.
- Assist with moving, loading, unloading, and organizing construction materials, tools, and equipment.
- Support site logistics, including deliveries, hoarding, signage, access routes, and temporary protection.
- Assist trades and site staff with basic construction-related tasks as directed.
- Remove debris and dispose of waste materials in designated areas.
- Help maintain safe access, walkways, stairs, corridors, and work areas.
- Support deficiency, protection, and cleanup work during construction and finishing stages.
- Assist with temporary site protection, including poly, plywood, guardrails, dust control, and weather protection as required.
- Follow site safety procedures and report unsafe conditions to the site team.
- Attend site orientations, toolbox talks, and safety meetings as required.
- Perform other general site duties assigned by the Superintendent or site team.
Qualifications
- Previous construction site experience is preferred.
- Experience on high-rise residential, mixed-use, or commercial construction sites is an asset.
- Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting, carrying, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Basic understanding of construction site safety requirements.
- Ability to follow instructions and work well with supervisors, trades, and team members.
- Reliable, punctual, and willing to take initiative.
- Valid OFA, WHMIS, Fall Protection, or other safety training is an asset.
- Legally eligible to work in Canada.
