Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a tractor trailer
- Follow assigned routes and schedules to ensure timely delivery of goods.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving.
- Inspect vehicles for mechanical issues and perform basic maintenance tasks such as checking oil levels and tire pressure.
- Communicate with dispatchers and other team members to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues that may arise.
- Complete necessary paperwork, such as delivery logs, mileage records, and inspection reports.
Skills:
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements(AZ)
- Proven experience as a truck driver or in a similar role.
- Ability to safely operate different types of trucks and heavy equipment.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws and regulations.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with team members and customers.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Physical stamina to handle long hours on the road.
