This competition is restricted to those who are employed with the Yukon Government during the posting period and to casuals employed at the closing date of the competition.

This is a permanent full-time position, working 75 hours bi-weekly.

The Policy and Planning branch of the Executive Council Office facilitates the Cabinet decision-making process by providing advice and analysis to Cabinet and its committees. They play a corporate role in developing/coordinating policy and other initiatives of a corporate and/or interdepartmental nature.

Essential Qualifications

Please submit your resume clearly demonstrating how you meet the following qualifications. Please note selection for further consideration will be based solely on the information you provide in your resume.

Considerable experience providing senior level administrative support, including minute taking, managing confidential files, drafting correspondence, organizing events/meetings, etc…
Experience conducting research and basic policy analysis.
Experience working with Ministers and Cabinet Office staff and coordinating briefing materials
Knowledge of the internal workings and processes of the legislative assembly.
Experience managing websites and proficiency with a variety of computer programs (please list) as well as an aptitude for learning how to use new computer programs and systems.
Experience with SharePoint or Reddot will be considered an asset.
Candidates who have education, training, and/or experience equivalent to the essential qualifications listed above may be equally considered.
