Position Summary
Hyundai Glovis Canada is seeking a Planning & Support Manager (Bilingual English/Korean)to lead wholesale vehicle logistics planning and operational control across our Canadian network. This role is responsible for planning and coordinating finished vehicle logistics across ports, rail, trucking, compounds, and customer distribution while ensuring operational excellence and customer satisfaction.
The successful candidate will develop operational reports and KPIs, coordinate cross-functional and customer meetings, support forecasting and planning activities, drive continuous process improvements, and provide operational direction based on business performance. This position requires strong analytical skills, leadership, and the ability to communicate professionally in both English and Korean.
Responsibilities
- Lead wholesale operations planning and operational control across finished vehicle logistics, including ports, rail, trucking, compounds, and customer distribution.
- Convert customer wholesale forecasts and volume plans into daily, weekly, and monthly operational execution plans.
- Monitor operational performance against Business Plan (BP), Operating Plan (OP), customer forecasts, and service requirements while identifying risks and opportunities.
- Develop, maintain, and standardize operational reports, dashboards, and KPIs to improve visibility across the vehicle logistics network.
- Provide operational recommendations based on forecasting, inventory levels, transportation capacity, and performance analysis.
- Coordinate internal and external meetings related to wholesale planning, operational performance, customer requirements, and issue resolution.
- Manage meeting agendas, action items, follow-ups, and escalation items to ensure accountability and timely resolution.
- Establish and maintain customer reporting standards, communication routines, and operational best practices.
- Analyze operational constraints, capacity risks, and performance trends across ports, rail carriers, trucking providers, compounds, and customer operations.
- Support customer-specific planning and reporting for HAC and KCA while ensuring operational priorities and service requirements are achieved.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to reporting, KPI development, operational processes, and data management.
- Prepare ad hoc reports and business analysis to support operational, customer, and executive decision-making.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in vehicle logistics, transportation, supply chain, operations planning, or a related field.
- Professional proficiency in both English and Korean (spoken and written) is required.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience interpreting logistics, operational, or financial data.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, and Power BI.
- Strong presentation skills with experience communicating operational performance and business metrics to customers and leadership.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience coordinating cross-functional teams and external business partners.
- Experience leading continuous improvement initiatives and process optimization is considered an asset.
- Preference will be given to candidates with experience in automotive logistics, wholesale vehicle operations, and customer-facing planning roles.
