Duties
- Provide professional hair styling, cutting, coloring, and styling services tailored to client preferences
- Assist clients with consultations to recommend suitable hairstyles and treatments
- Maintain high standards of sanitation and cleanliness in all work areas and tools
- Upsell additional services and retail products to enhance client satisfaction and salon revenue
- Manage front desk responsibilities including scheduling appointments, greeting clients, and handling transactions
- Foster excellent communication with clients to ensure their needs are met and expectations exceeded
- Stay updated on the latest hair trends, techniques, and salon products to deliver innovative services
Qualifications
- Proven experience in hair styling and grooming techniques
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with diverse clients
- Knowledge of sanitation standards and safety protocols in a salon environment
- Effective communication skills for client consultations and team collaboration
- Experience in retail sales and upselling preferred but not required
- Ability to manage front desk duties efficiently in a fast-paced setting
- Certification or licensing as required by state regulations for hairstylists is preferred but not mandatory for internship positions
