Our client, a leading electronic manufacturing firm, that builds and tests advanced communications and power-electronics equipment used in satellite, defense, scientific, and medical industries. They are looking to hire an Electronics Technician (SMT) to join their growing team.
Responsibilities:
- Able to perform a variety of routine electronics assembly operations
- Thru-hole insertion
- Component forming
- Hand Solder operation
- Mechanical Assembly
- Wire and cable assembly
- Required to inspect subassemblies, parts and/or assemblies
- Soldering and assembly on SMT printed circuit boards (PCB)
- Potential for candidates to progress to electrical adjustment and testing
- Read blueprints or schematics for assembly instructions
Qualifications:
- High School graduate or equivalent
- SMT line operation would be an asset but not required
- Ability to read engineering drawings, circuit diagrams and operations sheets
- Good communication skills
- Mechanical aptitude necessary
- Good hand/eye coordination for fine soldering and assembly work
- Previous experience with assembling electronics
- Previous experience hand soldering surface mount components is required
