Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Kitchen Manager/Head Chef to lead our culinary team and oversee all kitchen operations. Duties
- Supervise and manage kitchen staff, including cooks and food service personnel, ensuring smooth daily operations
- Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to meet quality standards and customer expectations
- Develop and update menus in collaboration with management, incorporating innovative dishes and seasonal ingredients
- Ensure compliance with all food safety regulations and proper handling procedures to maintain hygiene standards
- Manage inventory, order supplies, and control food costs to optimize kitchen efficiency
- Train new team members on food preparation techniques, safety protocols, and service standards
- Monitor kitchen cleanliness and sanitation practices regularly
- Lead by example in serving guests with professionalism and hospitality
- Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery during peak hours
- Maintain a positive work environment that promotes teamwork, leadership, and continuous improvement
Qualifications
- Proven supervising experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting, preferably as a Head Chef or Kitchen Manager
- Strong background in food preparation, cooking techniques, and food industry best practices
- Extensive restaurant management experience with a focus on team management and leadership skills
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper handling procedures
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate staff and foster teamwork
- Demonstrated ability to manage inventory, control costs, and oversee daily operations efficiently
- Passion for culinary arts with an eye for detail in food presentation and quality assurance
- Experience in hospitality or restaurant environments is highly desirable
