We are currently seeking an experienced Quality and Service Specialist to bridge the gaps between field execution and technical administration to ensure superior installation, product quality, and customer satisfaction. This role is ideal for a seasoned professional who can serve as our primary technical expert for service work, quality inspections, and supplier communications, while providing critical logistical and administrative support to management and assisting in developing staff.
Work and play in beautiful Muskoka — while enjoying a stable, year-round career with a skilled team.
Key Responsibilities: As a Quality and Service Specialist at Muskoka Lumber, you’ll take ownership of technical quality and service administrative workflows while indirectly guiding the installation crew to deliver exceptional results.

-
Conduct rigorous on-site quality control audits and inspections to ensure all installations comply with blueprints, specifications, building codes, and company standards
-
Measure and install windows, doors, trim, and related components using expert flashing, sealing, insulation, and capping techniques

Act as the primary responder for maintenance and complex repairs, troubleshooting mechanical or finishing issues, and accurately documenting service reports
-
Execute specialized finish carpentry, trimming, and custom repairs to resolve complex, site-specific challenges
-
Provide administrative support to the Installation & Operations Manager, including scheduling, logistics, record-keeping, workflow documentation, and customer troubleshooting
-
Collaborate with leadership to maintain, track, and order hardware and service parts inventory
-
Identify skill gaps and deliver targeted training and hands-on technical mentorship to develop field staff (including Lead Hands, Installers, and Apprentices)
-
Support the daily flow of the warehouse by providing logistical support, including loading, unloading, and organizing shipping and receiving
-
Promote and model safe work practices by enforcing PPE use, compliance with OHSA standards, safe tool operation, and maintaining clean worksites
