Postion overview :
Reporting to the Site Manager, the Production Manager is responsible for ensuring organizational effectiveness by providing leadership and overseeing all aspects of production.

- Ability to be trained and learn new systems
- Prior manufacturing startup experience an asset
- Ability to communicate in French is an asset
Knowledge/Experience Required:
- Post-secondary education in a related field
- 2-3 years experience in a production management role a MUST
- Experience in both unionized and non-unionized environments an asset
- Proven track record of team building
- Familiarity with basic logistics and supply chain principles
- Previous specific (grocery or retail) industry knowledge an asset
Primary Job Functions: AdministrativeAdministrative
- Create production reports, KPI tracking reports, and general analysis of daily production numbers and KPIs
- Provide KPI statistics and trend analysis on a regular interval and to ensure that department performance is measurable and traceable
- On an ongoing basis, work with the Site Manager to review operating procedures in order to achieve and maintain customer service levels.
- Ensure production teams are properly staffed and optimized
- Be responsible for Headcount, Overtime levels and general conformity and performance of the teams
- Ensure open and effective communication with the customers
Operational
- Be a motivated team builder, coach and mentor and a training champion responsible for overall knowledge level of the operations team
- Develop action plans as required to ensure continuous improvement
- Be responsible for overall productivity, output and with related operational costs
- Ensure adequate training and development of Production Supervisors
- Organize, co-ordinate and supervise the work of the production team in accordance with policies, laws and regulations.
- Enforce policies and procedures as outlined by the Site Manager
- Ensure a constant and clear communication with all departments and management staff
- To be on call and respond efficiently to all conditions with the aim of minimizing machinery downtime
- Work in concert with the maintenance manager to ensure uptime and optimal productivity
- Promote and ensure proper escalation protocols are utilized
- Promoting urgency when dealing with situations involving system outages or system repairs.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $80,000.00-$95,000.00 per year
