Personal Support Worker (PSW) Part time, Female
Provide care to an employer who is a young disabled woman living in a private home in Burlington, Ontario. The employer has a brain injury, with very limited arm and leg movement and needs to be pushed in a wheelchair. She needs transfer assistance between bed, wheelchair and commode. The employer is friendly with a good sense of humour and communicates well.
What You’ll Do
Activities of daily living such as bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, meals
Standing pivot transfers
Assistance with Physiotherapy
Recreational activities such as art, gym, walks, shopping, outings
Household duties such as cleaning and laundry
Drive employer’s wheelchair van
Must
Be caring, compassionate and loyal
Have good communication skills
Be punctual and reliable
Have a rehabilitation mentality
Be adaptable to change
Be a non-smoker
The Job
Wednesdays, daytime 8am to 4:30pm
Occasional weekday evenings and nights and coverage for full day on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and morning only on Saturdays if available
