Spectrum Health Care is Hiring Experienced Foot Care Nurses. Nurses will be working in clinic settings, retirement homes, LTC homes and client’s private homes.
We are seeking Foot Care Nurses to join us in assisting patients in a home or clinical setting across the following areas:

Duties and Responsibilities:The Foot Care Nurse is responsible for:
Ensuring that the quality of the Foot Care services provided to patients in the community and facility setting is compliant with legislation and standards of practice.
Conduct foot assessments continually, provide a foot care treatment
Electronic scheduling and documentation
Provide health teaching to clients in regards to diabetes and care of their feet
Adheres to the safe work/risk management policies and procedures of Spectrum Health Care
Works within the Ethical Practice Framework of Spectrum Health Care
Understands the range of services provided by each division of the Spectrum family and how it contributes to our model of Total Client Care
Continually assesses, anticipates, identifies and responds to new and changing needs of clients and communicates available Total Client Care resources to clients when appropriate
Currently registered and in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO)
Basic, Advanced and Diabetic Foot Care certificate is required
Prior experience in foot care is an asset
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Valid full “G” driver’s license and has a reliable vehicle
Willingness to travel and work flexible hours
Ability to effectively manage time and priorities
Ability to work independently and within a team
Computer knowledge and has the ability to learn proprietary software. Proficiency in Microsoft Word preferred
Fluency in a second language is an asset
