Fleet Complete has established a Data Services practice to actively manage information as a corporate asset. The primary focus of the Data Services team is to standardize the processes around data and information across the organization.

Reporting to the Global Manager - Insights, the Data Operations Analyst will work directly with members of the Data Services team, Global Business Applications, and end users directly to; support operational objectives, data migrations, project delivery, and reporting requirements. This role is essential to enable the following objectives:

  • Mergers and acquisitions
  • System implementation and legacy decommissioning
  • Data migrations, cleansing, and converting
  • Supporting Master Data Management (MDM), Customer Relationship Management (CRM), and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems
  • Maintaining a focus on continuous improvement of data quality, integrity and consistency
  • Operational reporting
  • Providing business meta data definitions
Data Operations Analyst

Engage in projects in the capacity as a subject matter expert on data extraction, preparation, and loading

Design and develop operational reports and visualization across variety of platforms and tools

Create and document data related processes and procedures

Utilize appropriate tools to uncover and determine root cause of complex data quality issues

Facilitate discussions with project teams and data owners to relay back the result findings and recommendations in simple terms

Collaborate directly with business data owners and peer technical teams to establish quality business rules that will provide the foundation for continuous improvement of data quality, integrity and consistency

Define source-to-target transformation documentation/specifications

Liaison between business and technical groups to solicit clear data requirements

Identify and leverage opportunities to continually improve the governance of data management systems, processes policies and standards

Coach and provide guidance to other staff within the team to facilitate learning and help develop and enhance job performance

All applicants must possess the following:
Undergraduate degree/diploma in an analytical area (e.g. Math, Statistics, Computer Science)

2-5 years of work experience in IT applications or data management functions

In-depth experience/understanding in data analysis / data quality assessment, data movement techniques and tools

Experience in performing complex data migration activities

Solid background in relational databases (Mainframe and distributed DB2, Oracle, SQL Server)

Strong experience writing SQL queries and stored procedures

Experience with data-oriented programming languages and related packages; Python; pandas, numpy, scikit learn, R; dplyr, tidyr, plotly, ggplot

Demonstrate ability to organize, coordinate and execute on details

Demonstrate the ability to effectively manage and participate in multiple, concurrent projects

Maintain a non-siloed collaborative team mindset to encourage information sharing and business team cooperation

Excellent organizational awareness and operational system/data knowledge

Ability to take initiative in recognizing data issues or areas where improvements could be made

Experience in IT systems analysis and development

Experience in operational reporting; ad-hoc extractions and data preparation

Experience with reporting and visualization tools (SSRS, PowerBI, Crystal Reports, SAP BI, etc.)

Expert level Excel skills (VBA, power query, D365 integration)

Ideal candidates also demonstrate the following:
Experience with Data Quality Management, Master Data Management, ETL tools

Experience with D365 Operations and Finance, Sales Modules, Hubspot, Zendesk, Dun and Bradstreet

Strong combination of business analytics, data oriented technical skills, and communications

Business acumen in Operations, Supply Chain, Logistics, Finance

Experience with data warehouse technologies (dimensional models, Kimbal, Inmon)
