Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Baristato join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for delivering exceptional customer service and creating high-quality beverages, as well as having a bubbly and outgoing personality This role involves preparing and serving coffee, tea, and other beverages, maintaining a clean and welcoming environment, and ensuring a positive experience for all customers. Previous experience in the food industry or food service IS REQUIRED, though training will be still be provided. The position offers an opportunity to develop skills in food handling, cash handling, and customer engagement within a dynamic team setting.
PLEASE NOTE: We are not excepting current high school students and applicants with no barista experience
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and other beverages according to company standards
- Operate POS systems, including Micros POS, for order processing and cash handling
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers warmly and addressing their needs promptly
- Handle food preparation tasks such as assembling sandwiches or snacks as needed
- Maintain cleanliness of the work area, including equipment, counters, and dining space
- Manage cash register transactions accurately and efficiently using basic math skills
- Ensure food safety standards are followed in all food handling and preparation activities
- Assist with inventory management by restocking supplies as necessary
- Uphold health and safety guidelines to create a safe environment for staff and customers
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Barista or in food service is mandatory; though training will be provided for qualified candidates
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly attitude
- Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction processing
- Knowledge of POS systems, especially Micros POS, is advantageous
- Ability to manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service
- Experience with food handling, safety standards, and serving techniques is desirable
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team
- Flexibility to work during peak hours including mornings, afternoons, or evenings as needed
