Position Details: Full-Time, Permanent, Vacant Position
Salary Range: Salary range at $44,500-$55,500, based on a 35-hour work week.
Location: Hybrid position in Edmonton, AB

What You Will Do
The Administrative Assistant will perform a full range of financial and administrative duties that will support the Alberta Conservation Team, including but not limited to:

Supporting financial analysis and expenditure monitoring

Supporting month-end, quarter-end and year-end activities

Basic financial activities including, coding and processing invoices, PO’s, and journal entries

Providing leadership and guidance to staff related to timesheets, procurement and system navigation

Monitoring for compliance with company policies such as contracts and expenditures

Contract and project administration
-
Handling incoming calls & greeting visitors as required
You are a self-motivated individual with a positive, “can do” attitude, who thrives in a fast-paced environment. You are a reliable team player with strong organizational, time management and interpersonal skills.
You exercise strong initiative and sound judgment in handling routine and confidential materials. You are an energetic collaborator who believes in delivering the best customer service possible and you must be able to cultivate solid relationships with many people.
Requirements

Minimum 3 years of accounting and administrative experience.

Certificate/diploma in accounting, office administration, business administration or related field; a relevant combination of education and experience may also be considered.

Demonstrated experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable and journal preparation along with strong administration skills.

Excellent internal/external customer service with strong oral and written communication skills.

Highly proficient in Office 365 applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Teams.

Detail-oriented, organized and able to prioritize workload.

Excellent problem-solving skills and adaptable to change.
Assets
-
Working knowledge of Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations System (specifically the AR and AP modules)

Familiarity with the non- profit and/or environmental conservation sectors
