Job Requirements
Education
No degree, certificate, or diploma
Experience
minimum 2 years experience
Specific Skills
· Communicate with Operations Manager daily to advise of activities, problems, and possible corrective actions.
· Operates a full range of machine shop equipment including drill press, horizontal cut-off saws, etc.
· Make recommendations that will help productivity in conjunction with maintenance employees and advise on a preventive maintenance program.
· Reinforce health and safety in the maintenance department. Assuring proper tag and lock-out procedures are followed as per the OHSA.
· Troubleshoot problems in a responsible fashion to keep production flowing.
· May be asked to attend various departmental meetings.
· In the absence of the supervisor, work independently.
· Participate in the installation of equipment, and make modifications as needed.
· Perform mechanical activities on equipment, including inspection, lubrication, and parts replacement.
· Perform other duties as assigned
