We are hiring for casual/substitute Summer Camp Leaders.
We are looking for staff that have led large groups of 8-12 kids ages 5-12 in a recreational setting for at least several hundred hours. Please apply only if you have this experience.
We are searching for experienced camp and child care professionals that wish to make a positive impact in the community. You are aligned with our values and are driven with purpose. We seek positive role models who are patient, kind, reliable, respectful, creative, dedicated, take initiative, and love to build relationships and community. Extensive knowledge of games is needed. Please include a recent Criminal Record Check if you have one. A CRC is required.

Summer camp guides lead either the kids camp (ages 6-9) or youth camp (ages 10-12) at one of our Tri-Cities Camps. A reliable car is recommended. Camp hours are 8 am - 6 pm Monday-Friday.
The position will include, but is not limited to:
-Ensuring everyone's wellness, safety, and engagement
-Collaborating with other Camp Staff and Volunteers
-Developing a safe, inclusive, and fun community for all
-Anticipating potential challenges and de-escalating and resolving them
The position will generally be outdoors, is very active, and requires a lot of patience. We have zero screen time.

Adventure Play Care Society is a non-profit that operates Rainforest Adventure Camps for kids and youth. These camps are outdoors in and around the Tri-cities, exploring some of the most beautiful forests, lakes, beaches, and rivers in the area. Our camps seek to further develop participants' independence, leadership, empathy, resilience, and social growth in a fun, safe, and peaceful setting. Our programs are child-centred.
