The Role
This is not an assembly line position.
You'll be responsible for assembling highly detailed scientific instruments where precision, patience, and craftsmanship matter.
You'll work alongside engineers to build, improve, test, and refine products that will be used in laboratories across North America and internationally.

Responsibilities
- Perform detailed mechanical assembly of precision instruments
- Assemble small mechanical, plastic, and electronic components
- Route cables and tubing neatly and consistently
- Install sensors, motors, valves, pumps, optics, and other precision components
- Inspect parts for cosmetic and dimensional quality
- Perform functional testing using documented procedures
- Identify assembly improvements and provide feedback to engineering
- Maintain clean documentation of builds and testing
- Help improve manufacturing procedures as products evolve
- Maintain an exceptionally organized and clean work area

Experience
Experience in one or more of the following is an asset:
- Precision mechanical assembly
- Electronics assembly
- Medical device manufacturing
- Laboratory equipment
- Aerospace manufacturing
- Automotive prototype assembly
- Instrumentation
- Fine model building or hobby machining
- Soldering
- 3D printing
- CNC or machining environments
Equivalent experience through hobbies or personal projects is also valued if you demonstrate exceptional craftsmanship.
