Description
We are looking for an experienced X-Ray Technologist to join our team. Candidates must be motivated to make a difference in each patient’s experience. You will work alongside a team of dedicated professionals who focus on the safety and service of each patient. You will work with a supportive management team that will provide flexibility and healthy work-life balance.
Employee Class: Casual or part-time (up to 0.5 FTE)
Shifts: 1-3 shifts per week, including Saturdays (07-15:00)
Tentative Start Date: Ongoing
Responsibilities and Duties
- Conducting intraoperative imaging.
- Operate C-arm to provide real time imaging during surgical procedures.
- Knowledge in accurate positioning and alignment to obtain optimal diagnostic images while maintaining a sterile field.
- Ability to troubleshoot technical issues during procedures.
- Performing quality control procedures.
- Complying with all Health and Safety protocols, accreditation regulations, and internal procedure guidelines.
- Maintain accurate records.
- Maintaining excellent rapport with surgeons, anesthesia, and nursing staff,
Required Qualifications
- Completion of an X-Ray Technology diploma from an accredited program.
- Active and eligible for registration with the Alberta College of X-Ray Technologists.
- Physical ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
- Perform repetitive physical movements.
- Able to effectively and efficiently multitask, organize and work under pressure and/or time constraints.
- Attention to detail.
- Exceptional use of judgement.
- Excellent communication, independent decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and supportive of others.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with Healthquest an asset.
Job Type: Casual
Pay: $40.73-$52.34 per hour
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Edmonton, AB: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
