Job Summary
The Quality Control Inspector will be responsible for ensuring that products meet the established quality standards through various inspection processes.
Duties
- Conduct quality inspections on construction projects to identify defects or deviations from specifications
- Document inspection results and maintain detailed records of quality control tests
- Collaborate with production teams to address quality issues and implement corrective actions
- Monitor and enforce compliance with quality assurance procedures and guidelines
- Analyze data collected during inspections to identify trends and areas for improvement
- Assist other inspectors in the company with team projects
Qualifications
- University degree or College diploma in Civil / Structural Engineering.
- 5 years experience in structural, inspection on road and/or bridge construction projects
- Demonstrated experience as a Construction Inspector - Structures on at least two (2) previous projects
- Knowledge of standard engineering and construction principles, practices and techniques, plus pertinent codes, regulations and statutes
- Strong technical, analytical, interpersonal and communication skills
- Working experience with MS Office, Windows and CADD applications an asset
- Ideal candidate will have previous local experience in municipal construction
- Ability to work flexible schedules and travel to site locations within the area.
